Aeolian Islands

“There was a day our Lord made a land of stars and diamonds and he said,” this is the kingdom of love, paradise for lovers”.

Let’s sail around the Aeolian islands

The Aeolian islands are known as the islands of wind and fire. Thanks to their enchanting sea, to their among the most active volcanoes of the earth, their places rich of myths and legends, to the black of the volcanic rock, the blue of the sea and the sky and the green of vegetation, the Aeolian islands provoke in visitors a sort of charming fever. Voyagers come numerous every year. They enjoy the perfume of aromatic plants, the savory and fine gastronomy and the pink light blue and straw yellow colored houses.

To those tourists who would like to become expert islander visitors  enjoying themselves but with the possibility to know something, we suggest to go to:
  • the worldly Panarea, full of sailing boats floating on a cobalt sea color;
  • the main island Lipari: it is rich of very ancient history together with archaeological patrimony (4500b.C. II a.D.). The visit of its Castle, Aeolus house, could be useful to grasp the different moments of local history.
To those tourists who would like to live the island surrounded by an aromatic vegetation

We suggest Salina, “the superb one”. The island is ready to receive you, drinking its local dessert wine Malvasia, or, simply walking on the island of The Postman movie.

To those tourists who would like to do trekking or climbing up a volcano

We suggest Stromboli and Vulcano. On both islands you can better realize why the islands are registered to the Human Heritage List (UNESCO).

To those tourists who are lovers of the essential and wild life in strict contact with nature

We suggest Alicudi and FilicudiThey can offer the sound of silence and peace with some unforgettable panoramic views.

Seven islands, seven sisters each one with some different characteristics, but all them, in the end, will involve you in making comparisons, considerations about the territory and to give your opinion, if some will ask you “Which island did you prefer? Why?”.
